Listening

As a music lover, I have to say that listening to lyrics of songs is definitely my biggest listening practise. I would say that carefully comprehending what the singer is singing about is quite challenging. Song lyrics are often what we could consider poetry and I think that not just hearing the words but actively trying to understand the meaning behind them is a great practise for actually hearing what people around us are telling us. Here is an example of a song where the lyrics really cought my ear.

As a proper member of my generation i spend quite some time on youtube. I have to say that most creators I watch are English speanking. I would like to think that I connect entertainment with learning as I often find myself focusing on the accents of the content creators. Watching this type of media has definitely broadened my general vocabulary. I would say that the majority of fixed phrases I know and use comes from this source.
